Hello my friends - yes it has been quite some time since I have posted here, but planning a wedding is absolutely CRAZY!!!! So just wanted to update on whats going on in my life at this moment.

After picking out and buying my dress, choosing our whole bridal party (all 10 of them), picking an awesome place in Tahoe (South Lake) - then nixing that idea because everybody complained, then picking another awesome place on a golf course in the east bay (San Ramon) - then nixing that idea because once again everybody complained. We even changed the date from Sept to Aug to accommodate those wonderful little kiddies who would be back in school. So I guess you get the idea.......everybody wants to help out and contribute and chip in with money and stuff - but those same poeple think they have a say in MY wedding. I was miserable. Every time I talked to these people, it ended up with my crying or the other person crying - and it was becoming to much of a headache for me and Jason (because the wrath of me would be upon him, lol).

I am tired of trying to accommodate everyone - it is impossible to make everyone happy. So now I am announcing that we are thinking of ourselves and have picked a place in Maui that we will have the wedding ceremony at! YAY, YAY, YAY!!! It just seemed like the perfect thing to do, and can't figure out why we did not think of it sooner. We spent our first vacation there back in 2001, and got engaged there on our anniversary in 9/06 - so why not get married there as well?

So those of you who were invited (though invitations have not been sent yet) - I know it would be a hardship to travel to Maui, so we will be having a huge party/reception when we come back from our honeymoon where you all can come and drink and be merry. The bridal party will be there, and Jason and I will be in our dress and tux! We will be receiving a DVD of our wedding ceremony in Maui - and will have it played at the reception. My family is actually very excited and thinking of it as a mini vacation as well and the arguments and issues have stopped. Hmm, everybody finally happy. And Devon is the most excited - he has been sooo mad at us for not taking him on our last 2 trips there.

Anyway - hope everyone is happy, healthy and well. I plan on updating more often (I know I have said that in the past) - so please keep in touch!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive. I know I haven't posted in AGES, just didn't have much to share I guess.

So everything is pretty much the same - though I did get a new tattoo this week......that was pretty exciting. I am now determined to add to it (yes already) and turn it into a sleeve. YAY!

Also - in less than 2 weeks, I will be sunnin' my ass in Hawaii - I am in dire need of this vacation, it is basically what is keeping me going at this point.

Other than that just basically trying to get through my days, thank god today is FRIDAY!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.....not much planned for me, except maybe the Tattoo Convention in SF.

I gave Devon a haircut today - he wanted a mohawk.






I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

So I applied for 5 different cake decorator positions in my area (all at seperate places) - and was fairly excited. I really wanted this one at a well-known upscale cake shop, the owner seemed very nice and spent the day emailing me back and forth. I sent her a link to my cake album, and she said she was impressed - yay! The hours were great - tuesday thru sat (sat short day) with awesome hours. All of what she was telling me was great, and I was excited....until she told me they start their cake decorators at $12 an hour and then after training and what not it would go up.

FUCK! I can barely live on what Sanrio pays me, how in the hell am I going to quit my job and go down in pay simply because it is my calling? She told me she understood my position, and was sorry that she couldn't give me more without professional training. Ugh - stoopid "passion industry".

This made me extremely sad.

Hope everyone has a great day. Devon and I are hanging with my mom and dad today - and Jason went off to be with his. I made this cake to bring to my parents, it was fun!

I read this poem tonight, and it made me think of you. Shannon, your friendship means so much to me. I'm sad your leaving, but i'm happy for you and Ben.

Your the reason why I enjoy coming to work each day - what will I do now! lol. It may be time for me to move onto bigger and better things.

So....... I know this isn't "goodbye", just an "i'll see you soon". I know I will see you again.



One of the greatest joys in my life is our friendship....I don't think either of us suspected, when we first met, that we would stand where we do today, sharing the close harmony of our abiding friendship. But we grew together through the days, sharing laughter and tears, thoughts and silence - all the things that have become an unforgettable part of who we are. You have always encouraged me to share myself fully - my hopes, my dreams....my secret pains and sadnesses that I have come to understand better in the light of your concerned understanding. I hope I have reflected back to you, if only in a small way, something of the same. No one knows what path tomorrow will find us walking: but together or apart, I know that i've found in you the lifetime friend I have always wished for, and that the years passing will never change, but only strengthen, our enduring friendship.

so my car was destroyed, once again. An idiot made a u-turn right into my car. He was obviously at fault - and admitted to that. That thing is an accident magnet I tell ya.

I'm okay - but now i'm feeling some pain in my neck and back. My son is okay also - though he did get taken away to emergency in the ambulance. Because it was an "injury accident" - where someone was taken away in an ambulance - none of the other drivers information was given to me, and I have to wait 24 hours to get that info along with the police report for the police department......guess what I'll be doing from work tomorrow? heh. I haven't eaten all day and I feel sick to my stomach and nauseous.

On my way to pick up the rental car - I went by the auto body shop where my car is, and they had a preliminary estimate ready for me - it is up to $9000. This will go up once they begin work. *sigh* My dad is worried they may "total" it. That would suck!!!!!!


I missed Shannon's (asynja) last day - though I was happy Jason offered to bring it to work for me. If it had been any worse, I would have just tossed it. It meant so much for me to get that to her. I am sad though that I didn't get to enjoy her lunch at Mango Walls.

heh, yes I am still alive, just haven't had much to post.....until now.

Okay - so I don't have a paid account so I can't create a "real" poll but was wondering if you all would help me think up a few names for my fake cake business name (for a website).

I don't have a business per se, but have made and decorated cakes for family and friends and am starting to get more business. It was suggested I create a website to post pictures of the cakes I have made, along with info on how to contact me for prospective buyers.

Okay - so i'm kind of at a loss for thoughts right now, and the only thing I came up with is "Crazy 4 Cakes"! but I am wondering if that just sounds lame.

I know my friends list is small - but anyone have any ideas?

so I'm making him a Deep Dish Peach Pie for Father's Day. My dad doesn't like cakes or pies, and very rarely eats desserts - but he LUVS peach pie. The top crust of the pie was looking so plain, so I used my Hello Kitty cookie cutter to make the cut-out on the top, I had to add add my own little crazy touch. He's gonna laugh at me! Jason said I was cute, but I could tell he thinks im a weirdo.

.....anyways, I took pictures, but unfortunatley my camera dock is at work so I won't be able to post them until monday.
